This is what I’ve been thinking about this week:

I’m 35.

I got my first acting job when I was 24.

I plan to act until I cant do it any more, let’s conservatively call it 80 (Hopkins as my north star is 87).

So I’ve been acting for 11 years

and I have 45 years until I retire.

I have 80% of my career in front of me.

​

I remind myself of this when I feel hopelessly stuck.

When I am convinced that I am going nowhere fast.

And when the fucker whispers

“Maybe it’s time to throw in the towel”

I remind myself that I’ve barely gotten started.

Let’s see what we can make with 45 years.
